A serial thief caught after stealing an Aberdeen sheriff's car while wearing a Santa hat has been jailed for five months.
Barry Dyker, 33, took off with Kieran McLernan's Rover 75 with a personalised number plate after it was parked outside the sheriff's home.
However, he was later spotted sitting in the car close to his own home, wearing the Santa hat.
