I have heard the same story from friends that the staff have changed and things are not the same. What a pity because it was always a pleasure to go there. The 2 young lads were always so welcoming and also the female staff. The owners should reconsider their changes if they want ot maintain the previous reputation of the Bistro Verde. Will await more reviews.....

My partner and I often go to the Bistro Verde for lunch or dinner and have done so for the past 3 years.
We have always enjoyed eating there and in fact have never had anything to moan about.
More recently we went in at lunch time and something was different. The 2 girls on the floor were members of staff i'd never seen before, they had no character or welcoming nature about them, the place seemed a bit run down (unclean!) and our food was definitely nothing compared to any other time we've been. I believe that the staff have all been changed including the chefs although I am told it is still under the same ownership. Anyway when we mentioned that we weren't to happy with the servie/quality of food, our waitress seemed not to care and did nothing in order to remedy the issue. It's a shame to say it beause it has been our favourite restaurant for a long time but we will not be back unless some serious changes are made. back to the old ways we say!!!

in the mean time we will have to look else where! nevermind.

I disagree with the 'beats the sox off Cafe 52' comment because there is huge difference in the clientele each establishment attracts.I have eaten in both places since they opened and find that I go to one or t'other depending on circumstances (business/pleasure) and company. Cafe 52 has increased prices massively but are still worth a visit because of the music that accompanies your meal (ask and they will play what you want (nearly always)). BV has a more sophisticated aura but is also great fun to eat in. Just my thoughts - I eat at both places regularly and love them equally!

After 5 years of living in Aberdeen and trying different places this is still far and away my favourite place to eat. The food is awalys excellent and fairly priced and the atmosphere is friendly with expemplary service. The basic menu is great but the seasonally inspired specials board always has something wonderful to offer.I have never had a bad experience here and will continue to go back again and again.

Bistro Verde is excellent value for lunch, I have been going here nearly every other Sat for the past year. You need to prebook but the service is excellent and so is the food. The set menu for 2 courses is only 8.95!! Its an excellent choice for dinner as well beats the socks off Cafe 52 across The Green.
